沈復(fù)，何人也？清朝書生，《浮生六記》之作者也?！陡∩洝?，何書也？乃其自傳體散文集也。書名“浮生”二字出自李白詩《春夜宴從弟桃李園序》中“夫天地者，萬物之逆旅也;光陰者，百代之過客也。而浮生若夢，為歡幾何？”

       關(guān)于沈復(fù)的生平記載，寥寥無幾。據(jù)其所著《浮生六記》，他出身于官僚家庭，志不在朝野，甘愿和自幼相愛，青梅竹馬的妻子陳蕓過著布衣蔬食的生活。

       《浮生六記》記的是這對夫妻平凡的家居生活，兩人苦中作樂，琴瑟和鳴;記的是他們的人生坎坷，困頓離合，人情世故;記的是他們?nèi)ネ鞯赜瓮娴乃娝劇?/span>

       該書文字清新坦然，毫無華麗辭藻堆砌、煞費苦心雕琢之意。
在書中，作者以深情直率的筆調(diào)敘寫夫妻閨房之樂，寫出了伉儷情深的真情，也表露了夫妻兩人不受封建禮教束縛的灑脫瀟然。

       雖然該書篇幅只有四卷之長，但它的文學(xué)價值極高，向來為文學(xué)愛好者和研究者所重視，影響廣泛。

       林語堂因”素好《浮生六記》，發(fā)愿譯成英文，使世人略知中國一對夫婦之恬淡可愛生活”，大約于1936年，出版了《浮生六記》的英譯版Six Chapters of A Floating Life。

世事茫茫，光陰有限，算來何必奔忙？人生碌碌，競短論長，卻不道榮枯有數(shù)，得失難量。

Why should we keep ourselves occupied in this world where future is uncertain and life is short？ People rush to lead a busy life, competing and arguing, without realizing that ups and downs are preordained and that losses and gains are unpredictable.

情之所鐘，雖丑不嫌。

Your plainness doesn’t repel me since my heart already belongs to you.

從此擾擾攘攘，又不知夢醒何時耳。

Thereafter, I returned to the world of earthly love, knowing not when I will be awoken from this romantic dream.

秋侵人影瘦，霜染菊花肥。

Emaciation ensues as autumn gales blow; chrysanthemums bloom with white frost covered.

情深不壽，壽則多辱。

People who love too deeply don’t live long; if they do, they will wallow in mortification.

若布衣暖，菜飯飽，一室雍雍，優(yōu)游泉石，真成煙火神仙矣。

We are like immortal gods living in earthly paradise with linen clothes warming our bodies, frugal diets filling our stomachs, loving families enriching our souls and spectacular scenery broadening our horizons.

來世卿當(dāng)為男，我為女子相從。

In the afterlife, I want to be your wife while you’re the husband.

布衣飯菜，可樂終身，不必作遠游計矣。

You can lead a comfortable life in linen clothes and on meagre diets, and therefore rendering efforts to earn a living in faraway places unnecessary.

良辰美景，不放輕過。

You should not give the picturesque scenery only a perfunctory glance.

勸世間夫婦，固不可彼此相仇，亦不可過于情篤。

There shall not be a feud between husband and wife; nor shall there beexcessive affection.

逢時遇景，拾翠尋芳。

Why not hanging around on scenic spots, admiring magnificent views on a bright day？

一任他人情反復(fù)，世態(tài)炎涼，優(yōu)游閑歲月，瀟灑度時光。

No matter how fickle other people are, I just slow down and wander around at liberty.

檐前老樹一株，濃蔭覆窗，人面俱綠。

There is an old tree in front of the eaves with spreading branches and luxuriant foliage shading windows. Below it, all seem to take on a green hue.

無人調(diào)護，自去經(jīng)心。

There is no one taking care of you when you’re far away from home and you should look after and love yourself more attentively.

酒瓶既罄，各采野菊插滿雙鬢。

After emptying wine bottles, we picked flowers and placed them through earlocks.
